Punctuation is a device used by a writer to help the readers to understand the meanings of words. These are the symbols to express whether we r pausing, whether the sentence has ended and other such things.
these punctuation marks are:
. Full-stop (also called Period in American English)

? Question mark
! Exclamation mark
_ Hyphen
- Dash (This is also written as - in type recepits)

( ) Parenthesis or Brackets
[ ] Square brackets
{ } Brace brackets
