why we use pointers or reference except using real name of var.
what is buffer pointer.
are the strlenand ,itoa and strcpy are predefined function.

1. The purpose of returning 0 is that the program is successfully executed without any errors.
2. Buffer pointer points to buffer, buffer is a memory location that is used to hold the data temporarily, while moving data from one location to another location. Where in lecture 20 bufferPtr is a pointer of character data type.
3. A pointer is a variable containing the address of another variable. A variable is just a labeled place to store some data. The reason is that pointers are used to include some vital features in c/c++ which are missing from the original language: arrays, strings, & writeable function parameters. They can also be used to optimize a program to run faster or use less memory that it would otherwise.
4. The strlen, itoa and strcpy are predefined functions. Strlen function finds the length of a string. Itoa function converts integer to string. Strcpy function copies the string.
