Solution:

Systematic sampling is to be applied only if the given population is logicallyhomogeneous, because systematic sample units are uniformly distributed overthe population.I want to sample 10 houses from a street of 150 houses.150/10=15,so every 15th house is chosen after a random starting point between 1 and 15. Ifthe random starting point is 11,then the houses selected are house no11, house no 26,house no 41, houseno56,house no 71, house no86, house no101, house no116 ,house no 131

STA301 GDB Spring 2011
If we want to select a random group of 10 houses from each street having 150 houses using systematic sampling, we would simply select every 15th house in each street because 150/10 = 15. In this way 10 houses will be selected from each street and as there are 20 streets, so total 200 houses will be selected.
