SYMPTOMS

While running a Pogo game, an error message dialog box pop up with the following message:
Java Not Found or Not Working CAUSE

Norton Internet Security is turned on or not configured to allow games from Pogo web site SOLUTION

To solve this problem, Java needs to be installed properly. To check if Java is installed and configured properly run the following TestVm applet:

http://java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml (http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml)

If you can see the dancing Duke animated image in the applet above, then Java is installed and configured correctly on your system.

Pogo has verified that Norton Internet Security prevents some of the games from working properly because it identifies the games as adware.

To ensure that Pogo games run fine on your system, you can choose to apply one of the two options:

Turn Off Norton Internet Security/Norton Personal Firewall/Symantec Client Firewall. To disable this application: Right click on the green NIS icon in the system tray and select Disable.

(a) Double click on NIS/NPF icon in the system tray.

(b) This will pop up NIS/NPF window.

(c) Click on Help icon, which will launch the Help Window. In the Search box, type 'Adding to list'. Click on display. Follow the instructions accordingly.
