Virtual University Let’s Participate & Compete in International Anti-Corruption Week 2014
As you know that corruption is the biggest problem the whole world community is suffering from and fighting for. One important way to fight this evil is to spread more and more awareness among the masses. Under United Nations Convention Against Corruption International Anti-Corruption Day is celebrated every year on December 09 since 2003.
Following the same convention in Pakistan National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is observing anti-corruption week from 8th December, 2014 to 13th December, 2014. For the week NAB has planned to organize declamation, essay writing, poetry and paintings/poster competitions.
All of you are invited to participate in the competitions.
Following are the details of competitions:
Declamation Topic
(Declamation is a short emotional speech on the given topic)
Essay Topic
English
Urdu
English
Urdu
Media breads or impedes corruption
The more corrupt the state, the more numerous the laws
Guidelines for Declamation and Essay:
v Declamation Time: 4-6 minutes
v Essay Topic: 1250-1500
Guidelines for Painting/Poster and Poetry:
v Size of Painting/ Poster: Full size scholar sheet
v Theme of Painting/ Poster: Anti corruption related topic
v Theme of poetry: Anti corruption related topic
Interested students can forward their text of declamation/ audio recording, essays, poetry, photographs of paintings/posters at cbs@vu.edu.pk by 5th November, 2014.
Note: After receiving the participation Character Building Society of VU will evaluate each category and send the nominations (1 to 3) to NAB for the participation in Anti-Corruption week 2014.
