How to Repair a Windows XP Installation 2011-12

1. Switch off your computer and switch on and press F2 key to go into the BIOS SETUP.




2. In the BIOS SETUP go to the Boot Options and select CDROM only and deselect other options, then save and reboot.


3. Insert the Windows XP CD into the CD drive before reboot. Now the dialog comes up asking for Press any key to boot from the CD.

4. Now it will ask for "To repair a Windows XP installation using recovery console press R"

5. Now it will display the Microsoft Windows XP "your current edition" and ask to press R.

6. The rest of the process is automated and you just need to sit back and relax while the Windows CD repairs your current Windows XP installation and then reboots your computer
