BA Honors in Social Sciences is a broad-based, interdisciplinary degree, which gives students an insight into a wide range of social science subjects. This program is developed in line with the government’s new education policy for converting the Bachelors degree into four years. The program is comprised of 130 credit hours that are to be completed in a total of eight semesters.
First 6 semesters will comprise of class work while the last two semesters shall be focused on research and training. In total there will be 28 taught courses, 24 of 4 credit hours each and four of 3 credit hours each. The organizational internship and thesis work of 22 credit hours will be organized in the last two semesters.

Admission Criteria:
Those who have passed Intermediate or equivalent examination (such as GCE A Level, ICS) and are not older than 24 years of age, are eligible to apply. In order to maintain equivalence with international academic standards and for establishing the standard to choose the suitable candidates the following weights will be given to two main components of admission criteria; in-house entry test conducted by the Department and past academic performance.
Merit
The merit shall be determined on the basis of following split up:
a). Academic Record 70%
It will consist of marks obtained in Matriculation and Intermediate besides NCC/WG training and Hafiz-I-Quran marks (if applicable).
b). Admission Test 30%
The admission Test shall be of objective type (False/True, MCQs, Fill in the blanks and short answers).
Order of Preference
The admission will be done according to the following order of preference.
i. Those who passed F.A/ F.Sc in 2005
ii. Those who passed F.A/ F.Sc in 2004
iii. Those who passed F.A/ F.Sc in 2003
