LAHORE COLLEGE of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) has announced that the registered trainee doctors of the CPSP will be trained in different specialties of medicine in England, Ireland and other developed countries after completing two years training in Pakistan. Similarly, trainee doctors will also get opportunities for training in emergency medicine and other disciplines.
Apart from the trainee doctors, the fellows and consultants are also rendering services in Saudi Arabia against reasonable remuneration, said Prof Khalid Masood Gondal, Regional Director, at the concluding ceremony of different training courses on Saturday. The CPSP has made communication skills, surgical skills, computer and internet and research methodology training courses mandatory for trainee doctors. In these courses, trainee doctors are taught latest methodology of research and ways of communication and conversation with patients. They are also made acquainted with the moral & ethical values of medical profession. The training courses and residency programme of the CPSP are in line with England and Ireland due to which the degree of the CPSP is known throughout the world, and the demand of its fellows is increasing in Saudi Arabia.
