Pass percentage remains at 48.46 percent Lahore Board declares Inter Part-I result.
Lahore, Oct 05: The Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) on Monday declared the result of Intermediate Part-I annual examination 2010 with a 48.46 pass percentage.

According to the preamble to the result notification, a total of 126,716 candidates had applied for the examination, whereas 122,935 appeared in the examination, out of which 61,404 had been declared successful.

In the pre-medical group, a total number of 12,872 candidates (boys and girls) applied and 12,579 candidates appeared for the exam. A total of 8,110 passed the examination with a pass percentage of 63 percent.

In the pre-engineering group, a total number of 15,403 candidates (boys and girls) applied and 15,050 candidates appeared, out of which 8,571 students passed the examination with a pass percentage of 55.65 percent.

In the general science group, a total number of 9,912 candidates (boys and girls) applied and 9,735 candidates appeared. A total of 3,900 passed the examination with a pass percentage of 39.35 percent.

In the commerce group, a total number of 26,999 candidates (boys and girls) applied for the exams and 26,296 candidates appeared for it, out of which 15,317 passed the examination with a pass percentage of 56.73 percent.

In the humanities and other groups, a total number of 61,530 candidates (boys and girls) applied, with 59,275 candidates appearing for the exam. 25,506 passed the examination with a pass percentage of 41.45 percent.

According to the preamble of the result gazette, the candidates, who failed in some subject(s), would be given a chance to appear in those subjects along with the part II examination.
