Instructions
Please read the following instructions carefully before solving & submitting assignment:
It should be clear that your assignment will not get any credit (zero marks) if:
o The assignment is submitted after due date.
o The submitted assignment does not open or file corrupt.
o The assignment is full or partially copied (from other student or ditto copy from handouts or internet).
o Student ID is not mentioned in the assignment File or name of file is other than student ID.
o The assignment is not submitted .java format.

Uploading instructions
Your Submission must include:

1. All the Source Code (.java files) and other if necessary files to compile and run your program.
2. If and only if there are multiple files to submit place all the files in a Zip file and Upload it on VULMS else only source code file is required to be submitted.

Note: Use Notepad, Notepad++ or NetBeans for coding, compilation and running.
Objective
The objective of this assignment is

o To give you some practice exercise of GUI design, event handling and interacting application with database.

Important Requirements and Instructions:
1. You are allowed to use Netbeans to make this assignment. Use of any other tools is not allowed.
2. If you are using NetBeans to develop assignment then send complete project folder in zip format.
3. Use DSN method for database connection. Absolute and relative path methods are not acceptable.
4. Use database file attached with assignment file. Don’t make any change in database file Meta Data.
5. If you change database file name or Meta Data your assignment will not work here and marks will be deducted.
6. If you are feeling trouble to show result set data in JTable? You can use rs2xml library (attached with assignment file).
7. For database connection and rs2xml library usage see spring 2012 assignment 3 solution file (available on ocw.vu.edu.pk).
8. For completely understanding of requirement see demo.gif file (attached with assignment file).
9. If demo.gif file don’t run then open demo.html file (attached with assignment file).

10. Complete all requirements given in demo.gif movie file.
11. Assignment last date is November 26, 2012. Extra grace day (November 27, 2012) is only if last date has any problem (like server gets down or files not uploading). Any lame excuses will not be accepted.
12. We will not accept assignment through email in any case. Be Careful

Question:
You have to develop a GUI application, which reads the students records from database and display in JTable.

Hints:
On each checkbox click event check which checkbox is selected and on the basis of selected checkboxes generate SQL query daynmically.

Note: Your code must justify enough for 20 marks.
Lectures Covered: This assignment covers Lecture # 9-15
Deadline
Your assignment must be uploaded/submitted at or before 26/11/2012.
