All three notebooks use second-generation Intel Core i-series processors. The M18x offers a Core i7 Extreme processor factory overclocked to 4GHz; the M18x and M14x both offer wireless audio and video connections; lastly, all three notebooks have HDMI 1.4 for connection to 3D-capable HDTVs and USB 3.0 ports.
The M14x features a 14" display and weighs just under 6.5 pounds. It has an internal optical drive, up to Nvidia GeForce GT 555M 3GB graphics, and two- or four-core Intel processors. It is available with an enhanced 1600x900 screen resolution (1366x768 standard). Other highlights include:

  • Nvidia Optimus graphics-switching technology
  • Up to 8GB DDR3-1600 memory
  • Klipsch onboard speakers
  • Optional Intel WiMAX technology
  • Dimensions: 1.49" x 10.17" x 13.27"

The M14x is available now in Stealth Black or Nebula Red starting at $1,199.
MX18
Alienware bills the M18x as the "most powerful 18-inch gaming laptop in the universe." It offers dual graphics cards and an 18.4" display with a full 1080p resolution. Both AMD and Nvidia graphics cards are offered in CrossFireX (AMD) and SLI (Nvidia). It is available with up to 32GB of DDR3-1333 memory.
The M18x is not live on Alienware's website as of writing; expect to see it very shortly.
