PESHAWAR : Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Bashir Ahmad Bilour on Monday said the country’s dilemma stems from seeds sown by dictators.He said that the only viable solution was to strengthen democratic institutions and promote democracy in the country.He expressed these views while inaugurating handicraft exhibition organized by Local Government department here at Shahi Bagh.Bilour said fresh spate of terrorism was in fact last hiccups of terrorists adding that subversive acts have been curtailed to great extent in the provincial capital with the support of the people and law enforcement agencies.He said that people have given clear and loud message to terrorists that they would not bow to them in any case.The purpose behind holding of the exhibition was not to encourage female to run their own businesses but to give clear message to terrorists that despite all their subversive acts they would not be able to confine female to their houses, he added.He said that 59 skill centers were set up in province under Local Government Department that was teaching various skills to female with a view to help them earn livelihood. Bashir Bilour said that indigenous products and handicraft were displayed in the exhibition that speaks volume about the skill and talent of female.He said that female were given three months and one year training courses in these skill centers and after completion of the course they were given diplomas.Moreover, he went on to add that special funds would be allocated in provincial ADP 2011-12 for these skill centers besides ensuring employment to the diploma holders.APP
