You are required to approach an individual from your surroundings that have faced any kind of
prejudice in his/her life. Ask him/her to tell about at least two situations in detail and discuss the
following points:
1) Who showed prejudice to him/her and why? (Note: No need to use the speaker’s name.
Here you just have to provide the description such as “my aunt”).
2) Narrate those prejudiced comments and the gesture they used at that time?
3) According to him/her, what was the reason behind this prejudice?
4) What were his/her feelings at that time?
5) How he/she responded to that person?
Note: You are supposed to discuss the whole situation in detail.
Activity 02: (06)
Being a student of Social Psychology, help that person how he/she can reduce stress due to these
prejudices or at least his/her response to prejudice. For this purpose, use “role play” technique in
the following given way:
Request your two friends or any other person to help you in this role:
Mr. A will act like a person who say same prejudiced comments which he/she had experienced
in his/her life.
Mr. B will be you as a social psychologist who will educate that individual how to respond
properly in this situation
Mr. C will be a coach (The person who provides you feedback on the strengths and weakness of
the responses).
Conclusion: (03)
In the end, write down a brief conclusion about how much beneficial this role play was to help
that person? Logically discuss it.
