Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) has provided the list of different sectors on its official website (http://www.kse.com.pk/). On this website, one can observe the trading of each company’s stock listed on KSE.
You are required to visit the above mentioned website and need to do the following:
·Select one company from each of the below mentioned sectors:
oFood Producers
oConstruction and Materials (Cement)
oElectricity
·Analyze the historical stock prices and trade volumes of the selected companies.
·Identify the type of each company’s stock (whether blue chip, cyclical or defensive) by providing logical reasoning.
NOTE:
In your GDB comments section, you are required to provide the types of stocks only by supporting your answers with solid logical reasoning. Avoid unnecessary details.
HINT: For retrieving the data of listed companies from the above mentioned sectors, visit KSE website. Thereafter, click on the link of “Market Information” then click on the link of “Historical data”. Here you will find different search options. You need to search by clicking the option of “by sector”. In this way, you will be able to find the list of different sectors and the companies listed in these sectors.
