Recruitment policy 2015 for school guards
In the after-math of Peshawar incident in Army Public School, The cheif minister Punjab has been pleased to direct to improve security of Government Schools in Punjab, Therefore, it has been decided that trained school guards shall be deployed in A+ and Special A Category Schools to avoid any untoward incident.
The Cheif Minister Punjab has also desired that trained School Guards shall be appointed in A+ (most sensitive schools declared by Special Branch) and Special A Category of Schools (havind students 500 or above) which are as under:
Located within the Municipal limites of Earstwhile Metropolitan Corporation, Municipal Corporation, Muncipal Committee and Town Committes;
Located on National Highways, Provincial Highways, Inter-district roads,Inter-Tehsil roads; and
Any other school added by the District Educational Insititution's Security Committee on the recommendations of Special Branch.
Eudcational Institutions security Committe under the convenership of District Coordination Officer including DPO/CPO and EDO (Edu) will identify A+ and Specia A Category Schools in the district Accordingly, the EDO (Edu) will notify A+ and Special A Category Schools and Govt. College for Elementary Teachers(GCETs)
The Cheif Minister Punjab is pleased to relax the ban on special recruitment of School Guards for A+ and special A Category of Schools/GCETs, in Punjab.
The Edo (Edu) shall withdraw the existing cacant posts (BS-1) from Schools/ GCETs equivalent to number of required School Guard posts and the said posts shall be converted as School Guards. One post of School Guard shall be allocated to each A+ and special A Category of Schools/GCETs. Further, re-designated posts shall be reflected in the budget book of the district by the EDO(Edu) and EDO(F&P).
The following terms and conditions shall be followed by the districts
Ex-Defence Forces Personnel having Matric qualification and domicile of the same district will be considered for the recruitment of School Guard.
The candidate for appointment as School Guard must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the discharge of his duties.
Experience: The candidates shall have fifteen years Military Service at their credit
Age Limist: Minimum age limist is 35 years
Maximum age limit is 49 years
No further age relaxation will be allowed in any case.
Anteedents of shortlisted candidates may be got vetted from the District Armed Services Boards. In case of candidates having same merit marks then the candidates having exemplary character mentioned in the Pension Book will be given preference.
Certificates results card, domiciles, CNICs, Pension Book and other relevant services record should be issued by the Competent Authority on or before the closing date of Applications.

Total Merit Marks 100
Merit marks to be calculated on the basis of percentage obtained in Matric and Inter Examinations. However, merit marks for Primary and Middle certificate will be given 15 and 20 respectively.

Double copy of advertisement will be get vetted from the Department prior to publishing in the Newspaper; and
Challan Form No.32-A will be attached with Application Form by submitting fee of RS. 100/-; under the accound head of Government Treasury, Provicial Account No-1 (Non-Food) C-Non Tax Revenue, C02-Receipts from Civil Administration & Other Functions, C028-Social Services, C-02818-Educaton-Others-Fee on account of Application for School Guard in State Bank of PAkistan or National Bank of Pakistan
