Masala TV recipe of Mutton Sambhar by Gulzar Hussain from Live At 9. This mouth-watering "Main Course" recipe for Mutton Sambhar can be prepared in 30 minutes and serves 2-4 people.
Recipe Ingredients
Ingredients:
Mutton (Boneless) ˝ kg
Spinach 150 gm
Green gram 150 gm
Red lentil 150 gm
Ginger Garlic paste 3 tbsp
Green chilies 4-5
Onions 2
Turmeric Powder 1 tsp
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
To prepare masala:
Ginger Garlic Paste 2 tbsp
Green chilies 4-5
Mustard seeds 1 tbsp
Red chili flakes 1 tsp
Cumin seeds (crushed) 1 tsp
Fenugreek seeds 1/3 tsp
Carom seeds 1/3 tsp
Oil 2-3 tbsp
Salt to taste
For Bigar:
Whole Dry red chilies 4-5
Curry Leaves 5-6

Recipe Method
Take 2-3 tbsp oil in the pan and fry 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste and 2 chopped onions. Add in ˝ kg mutton. Once it is cooked take it out and keep it aside.
Now take 150 gm spinach, 150 gm green gram, 150 gm red lentil, 3 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 4-5 green chilies, 1 tsp turmeric powder, onion, 1 tbsp red chili powder and salt in a pan and cook it till everything is properly cooked. Mix it well and keep it aside.
To prepare masala, take some oil in the pan and sauté 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste. Then add in 4-5 green chilies, 1 tbsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp red chili flakes, 1 tsp crushed cumin seeds, 1/3 tbsp fenugreek seeds, 1/3 tsp carom seeds and salt. Cook it well. Add in spinach mixture and mutton in it, mix and cook it well.
When all the ingredients are mixed together dish it out. Take some oil and sauté 4-5 whole dry red chilies and 5-6 curry leaves in it and put the oil in the serving dish. Mutton Sambhar is ready to serve
